DESLOGE — A 25-year-old rural Park Hills man was arrested on April 12 for having what police described as a rolling methamphetamine lab in his vehicle. Desloge Police Chief James Bullock said Officer John Upchurch observed two vehicles driving in a careless and imprudent manner.
“He pulled over the rear vehicle,” Bullock said. “The driver of the vehicle said he had been fighting with his girlfriend who was in the front vehicle. By that time the girlfriend had turned around and came back to the spot where Officer Upchurch had the vehicle pulled over.”
Bullock said the driver, a rural Park Hills man, had surrendered his Missouri license to the State of Oregon.
“His Oregon driver’s license had also expired,” Bullock said. “The officer arrested the man for not having a valid driver’s license. A search of the vehicle revealed a concealed storage bin in the console. A container that had a green leafy substance that appeared to be marijuana was found along with a cigarette pack that had white powdery caplets.”
Bullock said a spoon with residue, chemicals, lithium strips, iodine, Drain Out, batteries and an unused syringe were also found inside the vehicle.
“The MoSmart officer and the Mineral Area Drug Task Force responded to the scene to process and disposal of the chemicals,” Bullock said.
The girlfriend was not arrested.
